Two Charged with Assault

A 24 year old male and a 23 year female have both been arrested with assaulting each other. It is believed that on the 25 of April between 7 and 8 pm the two individuals were at their east end residence when they began having a verbal argument. The dispute escalated to a physical confrontation. The female jumped on the male and hit him. The male then grabbed the female by the wrist causing an injury requiring medical attention. The female attended at the police station yesterday morning and was charged with 1 count of assault. She is scheduled to attend court on the 4th of June. The male was arrested at his east end residence just after 12pm and charged with 1 count of assault causing bodily harm. He is going to appear in bail court this morning.

There were two reports of mischief to property over the last 24hours.

1) Between 5pm on the 25th of April and 8am on the 28th of April someone caused mischief to a delivery van park in the 500 block of industrial park. It is believed that someone drilled holes to a plastic gas tank and stole a large amount of gasoline.

2) Etienne Brule public school located at 241 Albert Street West has been vandalized numerous times over the past week. Culprits have caused damage to the property by spray painting the walls, new playground equipment and basketball courts. The security camera has also been tampered with.
