Notice to the public:

The CN Police has been receiving complaints of people trespassing on railway property in the area of the Sault Locks. As a result of this complaint officers will be enforcing the Railway Safety Act and charging anyone caught trespassing on the railway lines, bridges or other structures attached to railway property. It is not the intent of the CN Police to prevent people from fishing in the St. Mary’s River just the clearly marked and signed areas below and attached to the railway bridges. The main concern in enforcing this act is that it is very dangerous to play and or fish off the railway bridges and structures. Six persons have been charged since Sunday evening.
