CHARGE WITH ASSAULT
Yesterday morning, patrol officers were called to a home on Portage Lane for a complaint that an argument had escalated into an assault. The resident complained another male came to his residence and following a verbal argument, pushed him and then spit on him. Officers arrested and charged Mario Cormiere, age 40, of 317 North St. with assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 7th.
MAN ARRESTED AT CUSTOMS
Patrol officers were called to assist Canada Customs Officers yesterday at lunchtime. Custom Officers, checking a male who was attempting to enter Canada, learned he was wanted on several arrest warrants held by the Sudbury Police Service.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Officers attended at the Bridge Plaza and took Brennan Hanousek, age 32, of 607 Old Hopkinsville Rd. Cadiz, Kentucky, into custody. Hanousek was wanted by the Sudbury Police Service for assault, two counts of threatening, two counts of failing to attend court and four counts of breaching his undertak
