ARRESTED IN JAIL Wayne McInnis, age 20 of Sault Ste. Marie was already in custody when city police officers executed an outstanding arrest warrant. Mr. McInnis was in O.P.P.
ARRESTED IN JAIL
Wayne McInnis, age 20 of Sault Ste. Marie was already in custody when city police officers executed an outstanding arrest warrant. Mr. McInnis was in O.P.P. custody and appearing in bail court when the warrant for breach of an undertaking was executed. The breach is reported to have occurred between May 6th and June 17th of 2002.


WHEELCHAIR STOLEN FROM HOSPITAL
2 males were arrested and charged late Sunday night in relation to a theft of a wheelchair from the General Hospital. At approximately 8:30 p.m. 18 year-old Darrell Morine of 99 Cambridge Place and a young person are alleged to have taken the wheelchair from the front entrance of the hospital.

Patrol officers located the 2 accused persons at Brock and Albert Street East while they were still in possession of the wheelchair. The men are both charged with Theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property.


DRIVER CHARGED
A 2-vehicle collision on Wellington Street East resulted and one driver being charged. Minor damage was caused to both vehicles involved.

Police Sgt. Mark Dumas said that Eugene Pistor, age 47 of 468 Wellington Street East, and Ross Lay,age 67 of 22 Kitchener Road, were both travelling west on Wellington Street. Mr. Lay, who was driving in the inside lane, changed lanes and struck the Pistor vehicle that was travelling in the curb lane. Mr. Lay was charged with changing lanes not in safety.
