The following three persons are to appear in bail court this morning:

1) 24 year-old Adam Shewchuk of 335 Wellington Street West (upstairs) was arrested on the 25th of February at 4:55 pm on Wellington Street West and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that on the 25th of February at approximately 3:18 pm the accused attended at Joe’s No Frills on Second Line West and stole groceries valued at $130.27. When approached by store security he fled on foot and was later located by police and arrested on Wellington Street West. When officers ran a check on the accused they discovered there were outstanding warrants for the accused for failing to appear in court.

2) A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 25th of February around 3 pm on Bruce Street and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 25th of February at approximately 2:40 pm the accused was observed by city police walking on Bruce Street with two other male youths and when city police ran a check on him they discovered he was on a 24 hour curfew recognizance order to be in his place of residence unless for school purposes or in the presence of his surety.

3) A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 25th of February at 9:20 am at his residence on several outstanding warrants and charged with once count of breach of a release document, two counts of fail to appear court and one count of fail to appear for prints.

Two Charged with Theft Under $5,000

1) 39 year-old Corry Sue Derasp of 75 Goulais Avenue was arrested on the 25th of February at 5:20 pm at Joe’s No Frills on Second Line West and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the accused attended at No Frills on the 25th of February around 5 pm and stole $46.75 worth of groceries. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 31st of March.

2) A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 25th of February at 1:33 pm at Canadian Tire and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 25th of February around 1:23 pm the accused attended at Canadian Tire and stole items valued at $58.45. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 1st of April.

There were two break and enters reported yesterday:

1) Rona Cashway Building Centre on Black Road was entered between 11:30 pm on the 24th February and 7:30 am on the 25th. A saw was reported stolen.
2) A residence on Boundary Road was entered between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm on the 25th of February. There was nothing reported taken.
