A LITTLE TOO CLOSE A motor vehicle collision in front of the Pee Wee Arena at 5:18 pm yesterday resulted in 71 year-old Rene Ouellett of 225 Beverley Street being charged with Follow too closely.
A LITTLE TOO CLOSE
A motor vehicle collision in front of the Pee Wee Arena at 5:18 pm yesterday resulted in 71 year-old Rene Ouellett of 225 Beverley Street being charged with Follow too closely. The accident occurred when a vehicle being driven by Scott Carter, age 43 of 19 Westwood Crescent was slowing down to make a left turn into the Pee Wee parking lot and was struck from behind by the Ouellett vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles received a light amount of damage.

FAILED TO YIELD
At 6:41 pm on Monday a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Farwell Terrace and Henrietta Street saw one of the drivers charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Sharon Marenger, 58 years old of 25 Wallace Terrace was westbound on Henrietta St and attempted to cross the intersection when a northbound vehicle being driven by 47 year-old Fred Gawant of 9 River Road struck her car.

Ms. Marenger was charged with Fail to Yield to Traffic on a Through Highway. Both vehicles received moderate damage and a passenger in the Gawant vehicle, 46 year-old Judi Gawant received minimal injuries.

SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DRIVING
A young person will appear in court on March 2nd after being charged with Driving while Disqualified. The young offender was operating a motor vehicle on 4th Line near Crimson Ridge Golf Course when the vehicle was stopped and checked by patrol officers. The driver was found to be disqualified, under the criminal code, from driving a motor vehicle.

SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME
Another young person will appear in court on March 9th after a condition of a probation order was breached early this morning. Patrol officers checked the young person at approximately 2:40 this morning when it was discovered that this person was to abide by a curfew of 10pm – 7am. The young offender was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation.

MISCHIEF CHARGE
At 12:47 this morning officers attended at a residence on Dennis Street after an intoxicated man entered the house. The man, who forced open the door was found not to be a resident at this particular address. Victor McLeish, age 28 of 326 Albert Street East was arrested and charged with Mischief and breach of probation. He has a court date of March 1st.

GAS STATION THEFT CHARGES
2 men were arrested and charged yesterday morning with theft under $5000 with regards to a theft of money from the Korah Road Beaver Gas Bar on January 15th. Bradley Maitland, 24 of 286 Second Line East and Richard Gerner, 20 of 334 Fifth Avenue are accused of entering the gas bar and taking the money from the cash register while the attendant tended to their vehicle outside. Both men are scheduled to appear in court on March 8th
