ASSAULT CHARGE A young person will appear in bail court this morning after being charged with an alleged assault that occurred last Thursday.

A young person will appear in bail court this morning after being charged with an alleged assault that occurred last Thursday. The young offender is reported to have pushed the head of the victim into a window frame and then pushed the same person into a bathtub after grabbing the victim by the neck. The young person attended the police station on Monday morning to be charged.

PUBLIC MISCHIEF
27 year-old Tricia Margaret Daigle of 50 Manilla Terrace will appear in court on March 1st to answer to a charge of public mischief. Ms. Daigle was at the provincial courthouse yesterday as a witness to an incident that occurred in August of last year where she is alleged to have told officers that her written statement was false. Ms. Daigle was arrested and charged.

FORGED PRESCRIPTION
Frank Ball, age 28 of 152 Trelawne Avenue is scheduled to appear in court on March 8th having been charged with Forgery and Uttering a Forged Document. It is alleged that Mr. Ball, after having received a prescription for medication, added medication to that prescription prior to attending at a local pharmacy. An alert pharmacist observed the addition and contacted city police. A short time later officers arrested Mr. Ball and charged him accordingly.

ASSAULT CHARGE
A domestic dispute in the city’s east end resulted in a 41 year-old man being charged with assault and breach of recognizance. At approximately 1:00 this morning the accused man is reported to have pushed the complainant down a set of stairs causing a minor injury. The man was also on a recognizance not to physically interfere with the victim who is known to the accused. He will appear in bail court this morning.

FENDER BENDERS
A motor vehicle collision on Second Line East near Great Northern Road saw one of the drivers charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Hans Steiger, age 66 of 311-55 Chapple Street was charged with Fail to yield from a driveway after he attempted to make a left turn from the Shell gas station onto Second Line and struck a west bound vehicle on Second Line.

There were no injuries reported and there was minor damage to Mr. Steiger’s vehicle and minimal damage to the vehicle being driven by Erkki Kukkamaki of 145 Grosvenor Avenue.

There was a similar accident on McNabb Street at 5:11 yesterday afternoon. A car being driven by April Sarlo, age 23 of 109 Parkingworth Place attempted to make a right turn from the EDS lot onto McNabb after being waved through. Lou-Ann Harman, age 33 of 179 Central Street was driving north on McNabb Street when the Sarlo vehicle pulled out causing the 2 vehicles to come into contact with one another.

There was light damage to the Harman vehicle and a moderate amount of damage to the Sarlo vehicle. Miss Sarlo also received minimal injuries. No charges have been laid at this time
