Robbery:
Late last night at approximately 11:30 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a report of a robbery in the 500 block of Queen St. W. In the incident a male victim was in the hallway of his apartment building when an unknown male came up behind him and pepper sprayed him. The victim fled the building and upon returning he discovered that his apartment had been broken into. The victim reports that a 40” television was stolen. The suspect is described as: Male, black, 5’10” tall, medium build and wearing a black hoodie.
Two persons to appear in bail court:
Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male for breaching a recognizance release order. It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of his recognizance release order by consuming alcohol. Justin Lewis, age 29, of 67 Copernicus St. is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old female for aggravated assault and breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her common-law partner by striking him with an unknown weapon. Victim was treated at the Sault Area Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. It is further alleged that the accused breached conditions of her probation order, to keep the peace and be good. The accused is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of breach of probation.
Male arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking:
Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused was in the company of a person he was not to communicate with. The accused was arrested and while at the station officers located several small “baggies’ containing cocaine. As a result the accused was further charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Henry Cadreau, age 29, of 20 Grosvenor St. is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breach of probation. Mr. Cadreau is to appear in court on April 23rd at 9:00 am.
Mischief:
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Silver Birch Dr. was damaged.
Theft:
Jewellery and a small amount of cash was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Gore St.
Electronics were reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Parliament St.
