City police report only 5 minor accidents in the past 24 hours. There were also four arrests. Two for shoplifting, one for trespass to property and one for failing to appear in court.

A citizen brought in a copy of an e-mail that he received from a person identifying himself as a resident of the Ivory Coast. The request was for the local people to provide a bank account so that a large deposit could be made. The local people would get15% of the total deposit.

City police advise that these are invariably scams designed to part you and your money. Do not respond to such requests and never release your bank account information.
