SEARS EMPLOYEE CHARGED 33-year-old Michele Foster will appear in court on April 26th after being charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that Ms. Foster, an employee at Sears in the Station Mall, removed a $50.
SEARS EMPLOYEE CHARGED
33-year-old Michele Foster will appear in court on April 26th after being charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that Ms. Foster, an employee at Sears in the Station Mall, removed a $50.00 bill from the store and concealled it in her shoe. She was apprehended by store security and then turned over to city police officers.

MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID
Mark Edward Strain, age 19 of 130 Arden Street, was charged with attempt theft, theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property yesterday afternoon. Mr. Strain is alleged to have taken kitchen utensils from the Dollarama Store on Great Northern Road and was also going through vehicles in the parking lot of the Pee Wee Arena. When apprehended, Mr. Strain had the kitchen utensils in his possession. It is believed that nothing was taken from the vehicles in the Pee Wee parking lot. He will appear in court on April 26th.

SHOPLIFTING
Caleb Stephen Perreault, age 47 was charged with theft under $5000 after he was observed taking a pair of jeans from the Zellers store in the Station Mall. Mr. Perreault was apprehended by store security and turned over to city police officers. He will appear in court on April 26th.

ASSAULT CHARGE
44-year-old Ronald Joseph Noel of #1-78 Grace Street has been charged with assault after a March 13th incident. It is alleged that Mr. Noel struck the victim in the face and head numerous times. It is not known if there were any injuries to the victim who is known to Mr. Noel. Noel will appear in court on April 26th.

OUTSTANDING WARRANT
Patrol officers executed outstanding arrest warrants for Evan Makinson last night. Makinson was charged with assault on September 5th, 2003 and subsequently failed to attend court on December 29th. Makinson is scheduled to appear in court on April 26th.

DOMESTIC DISPUTES
A-48 year-old Sault man was arrested early this morning following a domestic dispute in the central area of the city. It is alleged that the man struck the victim with a cordless phone on the side of the head and also struck the victim with a pillow. Officers went to the residence of the victim and arrested him. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

Patrol officers arrested a 53-year-old man last night as a result of a domestic dispute. The man is reported to have struck the victim with an open hand and confined the victim to an apartment, not allowing the victim to leave. The accused male also became violent toward officers upon being arrested. The accused will appear in bail court this morning on charges of assault, resist arrest and unlawful confinement.
