Update: Second Male Wanted for Residence Robbery Located and Arrested Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male for robbery, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.

Second Male Wanted for Residence Robbery Located and Arrested

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male for robbery, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 15th the accused and two other males forcefully entered a residence in the city’s west end. At the time of the entry the accused is alleged to have used a baseball bat to threaten the victim. The accused and the other males are then alleged to have stolen property from the residence. The accused was arrested at an address in the 100 block of Wellington St. W. The accused is charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of breach of probation. The victim and accused are known to each other. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

A 17 year-old male youth wanted with regards to this incident was located and arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at his residence on the 29th of March at 12:17 am. The accused has been charged with one count of robbery with violence, one count of forcible confinement, one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of use firearm or imitation during commission of an offence and one count of disguise with intent. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrests
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 31 year-old male at 5:44 pm on the 28th of March and charged him with one count of assault, one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of cruelty to animals. It is alleged that on the 28th of March at approximately 5:43 pm officers attended at a centrally located residence with regards to a domestic dispute. Officers attended and while investigating the incident, learned that the accused had assaulted the victim in August 2006 during a verbal argument and in April 2010 during a dispute he kicked the family cat across the room. Further the accused had threatened to kill a friend of the victims. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 20 year-old male at 8:45 am on the 28th of March and charged him with three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 28th of March the accused attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend when he was on probation conditions not to attend there, as well as not to communicate, molest, annoy or physically interfered with her. He is to attend in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33 year-old male at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre on the 28th of March and charged him with one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that on the 25th of March the accused called his ex-girlfriend and at the time he was on conditions that he not communicate with her. He is to a attend in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driver Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 28 year-old Mark Tamblyn of #103-769 Pine Street on the 28th of March at 8:44 pm on Old Garden River Road and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that at 8:38 pm last night officers received a call regarding an impaired driver on Old Garden River Road that was driving erratically and struck a snow bank. Officers attended and when they checked the driver they found him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and is to attend in court on the 2nd of May.

Shoplifting Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Krystal Hart of #6-196 James Street on the 28th of March at 5:30 pm at Zellers at the Station Mall. It is alleged she attended at the store on this date and stole a pair of jeans. At the time of the incident she was prohibited from entering the store. She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of enter premises when prohibited. She is to attend in count on the 2nd of May.

Break and Enter
A residence in the 500 block of John Street was entered on the 28th of March. A television, a Wii and a computer were reported stolen.

Theft
Rings and a Bulova watch were reported taken from a local health club locker. The locker was not locked at the time. Citizens should always secure their lockers while at health clubs with a good lock, or not leave valuables inside them.

Mischief
Garages in the Brown Street rear laneway area were reported spray painted.
