ARRESTED FOR TAKING CAR
Sometime on January 1st, 2003 Sean Seguin, age 24 of 320 Gillies Street, who was residing at an apartment unit on Trunk Road with the complainant, a 43 year old female allegedly took her car keys from the apartment and left with her 1987 Buick car.

In the early morning hours of the January 2nd, 2003 he was involved in a motor vehicle collision at Brien Avenue and Poplar Avenue, striking a fire hydrant on the corner.

Police were contacted and a motor vehicle collision report was completed. At that time Seguin was charged with driving without a valid Ontario Drivers licence.

Later the accused was also charged with Taking Motor Vehicle without Owners Consent. A warrant was requested for the arrest of the accused. Yesterday at 8:40 am, police officers executed the arrest warrant and took Seguin into custody. He will appear in bail court on this charge.


YOUTH TURNS HIMSELF IN
Yesterday at 2:15 pm, the accused, a 16-year-old male from Prentice Avenue went to the Police Services Building in regards to breaching his curfew. Police had learned that the accused was on an undertaking with a curfew to be home from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am and that on the evening of May 2nd he had breached this condition.

A warrant had been requested for the arrest of the youth, when he turned himself in. The youth understood the charge and was cooperative with police. Officers arrested the young offender and he is scheduled to appear in bail court.


MISSED COURT DATE
Yesterday at 2:50 pm, the accused, Dale Swanson, age 31 of 337 Albert Street East was at the Police Service Building. Swanson turned himself in to the officer working the front desk, advising he forgot his court date was yesterday.

Swanson was cooperative and understood the charges of Failing to Appear in court and Breach of Probation. He will appear in court on June 9th.


BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Yesterday at about 10:04 pm, patrol officers observed 4 males at the intersection of Huron Street and Alexandra Street. Upon speaking with the boys, one 15-year-old from Northern Avenue was found to be on a recognizance to be at his residence with his surety between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am unless with surety.

The surety for the youth was not present. As a result he was arrested at 10:24 pm and charged with Breach of Recognizance. He will appear in bail court today.


BREAK & ENTERS
The police service investigated four break and enter type occurrences yesterday. At 8:36 am police were advised that the Easy Home business in Churchill Plaza was broken into.

At 10:55 am staff at H and S Outdoor Equipment at 97 White Oak Drive reported an attempted break-in to police.

At 2:05 pm, police officers went to a vacant house on Andrew Street where a window was broken in what appeared to be an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry to the home.

At 2:30 pm police were advised that sometime overnight thieves had unsuccessfully tried to break into the Royal Canadian Legion on Great Northern Road.
