Three Males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants: 1) 22 year-old Thomas Sabourin of 80 Sweetgrass Street was arrested on the 3rd of November at 12:50 pm on an outstanding warrant at the police station and charged with one count of robbery.
Three Males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants:

1) 22 year-old Thomas Sabourin of 80 Sweetgrass Street was arrested on the 3rd of November at 12:50 pm on an outstanding warrant at the police station and charged with one count of robbery. It is alleged that on the 29th of October around 3:45 am the accused attended at an east end apartment of a male known to him and threatened to harm him if he didn’t give him some money. The victim gave the accused an undisclosed amount of cash and the accused left the apartment without further incident. The victim did not receive any injuries. The accused is to appear in court on the 8th of December.

2) 25 year-old Curtis Daynard of 389 Pim Street was arrested on the 3rd of November at 5:30 am at the city police station and charged with one count of breach of a release order and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was unlawfully at large after not showing up for his intermittent sentence at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre from the 21st of July 2008 as conditions of his release and probation order.

3) 36 year-old Rodney Ryan of 193 Hillside Drive in Elliot Lake was arrested by the OPP and turned over to city police on an outstanding warrant held by the city police. He has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 24th of May police took a report of a stolen 40’ aluminum extension ladder that was taken overnight from a backyard of a residence on Tancred Street. It is further alleged that on the morning of the 2nd of June the accused pawned the ladder at a local pawn shop. He is to appear in court on the 5th of December.

Male Youth Arrested for Theft:

A 17 year-old male youth was arrested at the Station Mall on the 3rd of November at 2:25 pm and charged with one count breach of probation and one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 3rd of November around 2 pm the accused attended at the Dollarama in the Station Mall and stole a dental travelling kit, body spray, a toothbrush and shower gel. He was apprehended by staff and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 2nd of December.

Thefts:
- A bike was reported stolen from a residence on Anna Street.
- Two bikes were reported stolen from a residence on McNabb Street.
- A wallet was stolen out of a vehicle in the 500 block of Shannon Road.

Mischief Reports:

- A vehicle on 26 South Market Street was damaged.
- An Ellwood Robinson loader was damaged at their site on Great Northern Road sometime overnight on the 2nd-3rd of November.
- The George Leach Centre on Queen Street East had some of the walls of the building spray painted with a swastika symbol and other offensive graffiti.

Break & Enter

A break and enter was reported to residence in the 600 block of Second Line West that occurred sometime between 2 pm and 3 pm yesterday. Some cash was reported stolen.

City Police Respond to a Collision Involving a Bicycle and Motor Vehicle:

On the 3rd of November at 3:56 pm city police were sent to a collision involving a motor vehicle and bicycle that occurred at the intersection of Bruce Street and Grosvenor Avenue resulting in the bicyclist being transported to hospital by ambulance for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. It is alleged that the bicycle was travelling southbound on Bruce Street when the operator of the bike failed to stop at the red light intersection and struck a car that was eastbound on Grosvenor Avenue. The bicyclist, 36 years-old Craig Witty of 216 Letcher Street, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with one count of fail to stop for red light.
