Domestic Related Arrest: A 37 year-old male was arrested on the 15th of September at 6:30 am at the city police station and charged with two counts of assault.
Domestic Related Arrest:

A 37 year-old male was arrested on the 15th of September at 6:30 am at the city police station and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 7th and the 11th of September the accused assaulted his common law partner at her residence. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Youths Arrested for Assault Related Incidents:

1) A wanted 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 14th of September at 11:02 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 12th of September around 3 pm the accused assaulted a male known to him by pushing him off his bike and punching him several times. The assault took place in the pathway area near Paradise Avenue. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

2) A 16 year-old male youth was arrested at a local youth centre and charged with two counts of assault, one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 14th of September at approximately 2:25 pm the accused assaulted and threatened a staff member at the centre. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:

A 17 year-old male youth wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints was located on Wellington Street East by city police yesterday morning around 11:14 am. At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with one count of fail to appear for prints and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Borron Avenue around 12:45 pm. A male holding a screwdriver attempted to get in when he was scarred off by a witness. The male was described as being white, with black short hair, moustache and goatee, wearing jeans and a white shirt with blue stripes.
• An apartment on Queen Street West was entered on the 14th of September and medication was reported taken.

Theft Reports:

• Two vehicles that were parked on Cedarwood Drive and Campbell Avenue had licence plates stolen.
• Bicycles were reported stolen from Niagara Drive and South Market.
• A vehicle on Cabot Crescent was entered sometime overnight and a wallet was reported stolen.
• Four Laptops were reported stolen from White Pines High School.
• A car parked in a parking lot in the 500 block of Queen Street East had a window smashed out and a darts set was reporters stolen.

Mischief Reports:

• The football field at White Pines High School was tore up by a vehicle that had been driven around on it and a window of the school was also reported smashed.
• A back screen door was torn off a residence on Second Avenue.
