A local woman faces assault charges stemming from an incident that occurred earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie police said in a news release today.
Police say the 27-year-old was involved in an altercation at a multi-unit residence in the 100 block of James Street on Wednesday after refusing to leave when asked. The accused allegedly pushed the victim against a wall, punched them several times and threatened them before leaving the area.
Police located the accused yesterday and as a result, Jodie Neveau was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Uttering threats
- Fail to comply with probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 13, 2022.
