A victim was taken to hospital after suffering a gunshot wound on Albert Street West yesterday, police say.
Sault Police have confirmed that they located a victim with non-life threatening injuries while investigating a weapons call in the 600 block of Albert Street West on Tuesday.
In a press release issued today, police say they executed a search warrant at a residence in the area. Upon entering the residence in the 600 block of Albert Street West, officers located a .22 calibre rifle and ammunition, which they say is consistent with the injuries sustained by the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
