Police hope to identify an outstanding suspect who is believed to be involved in a theft incident that took place on May 25.
A news release issued today by Crime Stoppers states that a number of items, including tools, were stolen from an East Street apartment building.

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of break, enter, and theft.
On May 25, 2021 in the early morning hours, two unknown males forcefully entered an apartment building in the 0-100 block of East Street. One of the two suspects remains unidentified.
Several tools and other items such as new locks and exhaust fan motors were reported stolen:
• 12 new lock sets including deadbolt
• one red welder
• one helmet
• nine new fan motors for kitchen and bathroom exhaust
• 4 foot yellow level
• 2 foot blue level
• full like-new socket sets (1/4" 3/8" and 1/2")
• Rigid Sawzall in an orange carry canvas bag
• MasterCraft 4" grinder in blue
• 7 1/4" grey power saw
• MasterCraft drill in blue canvas case for cement with bits
• cut-off mitre saw in yellow
• two grey shark vacuums
• one grey Shark handheld vacuum
• black stackable toolbox with numerous hand tools
