Theft, Escape Custody & Breach

22 year-old Ryan Boyer of 46 Gemah Street, Garden River, was arrested on the 22nd OD April at 6:05 pm and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of escape custody, and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 22nd of April just before 5 pm the accused attended at Rome’s and stole a bottle of cologne. After being apprehended by store security, the accused broke free and fled from the store. He was apprehended a short distance away in the area of Chapple Street and arrested. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Breach, Threatening & Cause a Disturbance

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 23rd of April at 4:42 am at his residence and charged with two counts of breach of probation, one count of breach of a release document, one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of cause disturbance. It is alleged that on the 20th of April around 2:30 pm the accused was at the YMCA and was asked to leave by staff for not following rules in the pool area. The accused caused a disturbance by yelling and swearing at the staff. The accused also threatened to kill the staff members. At the time of the offence, the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good and also that he not attend at the YMCA. It was further discovered that he was with another youth at the time of the incident that he was on release undertaking conditions that he not communicate or associate with. The accused is to appear in bail court.

Mischief & Breach

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 22nd of April at 1:20 pm on Bay Street and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00 and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 22nd of April around 4 am was at home, got into a verbal argument with his mother, broke a kitchen window and left prior to police arrival. Officers located the accused later that afternoon on Bay Street where he was arrested. At the time of the incident, the accused was on a probation order with conditions that he keep the peace and be good and curfew conditions to be at his residence between 9 pm and 6 am. The accused is to appear in court on the 3rd of June.

The following break and enters wee reported yesterday and overnight:

1) An apartment in the 500 block of Albert Street West was entered sometime overnight on the 21st-22nd of April. Some money was reported stolen.

2) There was an attempt break and enter reported to a garage on Glasgow Avenue that occurred sometime overnight on the 21st-22nd of April.

3) A garage in the 700 block of Old Goulais Bay Road was entered around 12:37 am this morning and a Black Artic Cat 650 4 wheeler was reported stolen.

Vehicles Entered

A vehicle on Tancred Street was entered sometime overnight on the 22nd of April. Several CD’S and some keys were reported stolen.

Three male youths were reported to be going through vehicles in the Parkdale Drive area around 4:28 am this morning. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.

Stolen Bikes

Bikes were reported stolen from residences on Glasgow Avenue and Edinburgh Street yesterday and licence plates were stolen from a vehicle on Pozzebon Crescent.
