ICY ROAD ACCIDENT
Police were dispatched to Goulais Avenue at St. Basil's Drive yesterday morning at 8:00 to investigate a traffic accident. A 1990 Plymouth was being operated by Earl Schell, age 21, of Vera Street when he lost control on the slippery road and struck a utility pole. There were no injuries although the vehicle sustained severe damage.

POLICE OFFICER ASSAULTED
Yesterday evening at 8:50, police were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Pine Street where several persons were asked to leave and did so. When officers were preparing to leave, one male returned and decided that he would stay.

As an officer attempted to block the doorway to prevent re-entry, the male grabbed him and pushed him against the door frame. As a result, Joseph Wilmond Thibodeau of McGee Street in Kitchener was charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest, obstructing police, breach of recognizance, and breach of probation.
