Two suspicious males arrested for going through cars On the 18th of June at 2:00 am city police were called to the area of Lake Street and Macdonald Avenue for youths going through vehicles in the rear parking lots.
Two suspicious males arrested for going through cars

On the 18th of June at 2:00 am city police were called to the area of Lake Street and Macdonald Avenue for youths going through vehicles in the rear parking lots. The youths were also observed in the backyards of some of the residences in the area. When officers arrived in the area, the youths attempted to flee, but were quickly apprehended. One of the youths, a 17 year-old male was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Charged is 18 year-old Stewart Yates of 14 Clearview Drive with one count of trespassing at night. He is to appear in court on the 21st of July.
A 17 year-old male youth was also charged with one count of trespassing at night and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. He is to appear in court on the 22nd of July.

Youth charged for assaulting youth worker

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 17th of July at 10:40 pm at a local Youth Home and charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 16th of June at approximately 11:10 pm while at the youth home, the accused assaulted one of the youth workers by pushing her and slamming a door on the worker’s foot. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention. The youth is to appear in court on the 29th of July.

Three persons arrested on outstanding warrants

1) 38 year-old Scott Dunseath of 960 Queen Street East (basement) was arrested on the 17th of June at 6:45 pm at his residence and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 3rd of June. He is to appear in court on the 21st of July

2) 41 year-old David Wallingford of 355 Alexander Street (main floor) was arrested at his residence on the 17th of June at 8:12 pm and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 3rd of June. He is to appear in court on the 21st of July.

3) 31 year-old Lila Flamand of 112 Weldon Avenue was arrested on the 17th of June at 7:13 pm at her residence and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 3rd of June and one count of fail to appear court from the 16th of June. She is to appear in court on the 21st of July.

Break and enter to Propane Depot

City police attended at the Propane Depot at 3:13 am this morning for a break and enter. The alarm was activated and when the owner and officers attended they discovered the business was broken into and three barbecues had been stolen. It is suspected that the suspect/s possibly fled the area in a vehicle, most likely a truck. All three barbecues were assembled Broil Kings.

Mischief Reports taken yesterday

1) Four vehicles were reported keyed at World Cars Complex on the 17th of June.
2) A windshield was smashed out of a vehicle in the 200 block of Wellington Street West just after midnight last night.
3) A Convertible car top had two cigarette holes burned into it. This incident occurred between the hours of 3 pm – 11 pm on the 15th of June when the vehicle was parked at Sault Area Hospitals.

Theft Reports

1) On the evening of the 17th of June, a vehicle parked in the lot at Northern Transportation on Second Line East was entered and truck keys, a cab card, two gas cards and an International Bridge Authority card were reported stolen.
2) A licence plate was stolen off a vehicle parked at a residence on Partridge Crescent on the 17th of June.
