Domestic Dispute Charges A 46 year-old male and a 48 year-old female were arrested on the 13th of May at 6:37 pm at their residence and both charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation.

A 46 year-old male and a 48 year-old female were arrested on the 13th of May at 6:37 pm at their residence and both charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 13th of May around 6:25 pm city police attended at the residence for a domestic dispute. When officers arrived they discovered that both were under the influence of alcohol and that a verbal altercation had escalated physically. At the time of the offence both accused were on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and the male was on further conditions that he not molest, harass, annoy or physically interfere with his common law wife. They are both to appear in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driver Pursued by Police

34 year-old Marnie Antoniow of 19 Parkhaven Drive was arrested on the 14th of May at 3 am on Bruce Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of fail to provide breath sample. It is alleged that on the 14th of May around 2:29 am city police received a complaint regarding a possible impaired driver in the Tancred and Hughes Street area. Officers attended the area and observed the vehicle turn north onto Bruce Street from Albert Street East. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to stop. A short pursuit ensued, with the vehicle failing to stop for the red light at Bruce Street and Grosvenor Avenue. The vehicle was stopped at Bruce Street and Pim Street and the driver, the accused, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused refused to provide a breath sample. She is to appear in court on the 16th of June.

Youth Charged with Theft

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 13th of May at 9:25 pm at his residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that in the morning the youth stole a bank card from the wallet of one of his parents at their residence on the 13th of May and withdrew cash from their account. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of June.

Seeking Public’s Assistance with Bicycle and Vehicle Collision

Traffic Services are requesting the public’s assistance with a collision involving a bicycle and vehicle that occurred on the 9th of May around 1:30 pm at the intersection of Second Line East and Sackville Road. A 17 year-old female cyclist that was travelling westbound along the sidewalk on the north side of Second Line East was struck by a white car and was thrown from her bicycle. It is alleged that the female driver of the car failed to stop at the scene. The bicyclist received minor injuries.

The following break and enters were reported yesterday

1) A residence on St. Georges Avenue West was entered sometime overnight on the 12th-13th of May. Power tools and fishing equipment was reported stolen.
2) The MTO office at 237 Bruce Street was entered sometime overnight on the 12th-13th of May. Computer equipment was reported stolen.

Mischief Reports from yesterday

1) Windows at the First Baptist Church on Albert Street East were damaged.
2) Window at the Wood-Wyant Inc. office building were damaged sometime from the 1st-13th of May. The windows appear to have been shot at with a pellet gun.
3) A vehicle that was parked on Tancred Street was paintballed sometime overnight on the 12th – 13th of May.
