Criminal Harassment A 46 year-old male was arrested yesterday afternoon around 4:30 pm and charged with one count of criminal harassment and one count of breach of a release document.
Criminal Harassment

A 46 year-old male was arrested yesterday afternoon around 4:30 pm and charged with one count of criminal harassment and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that from early March to the 15th of May the accused has criminally harassed his ex-girlfriend by looking in her windows, following her, calling her numerous times, attending at her place of employment and hacking into her e-mail. At the time of these incidents the accused was on conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Stealing From Sears

19 year-old Arthur Charette of 43 Smale Avenue was arrested yesterday just before 3 pm at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at Sears and stole three t-shirts valued at approximately $90.00. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driving

19 year-old Rebecca Stevens of 571 Gran Street was arrested last evening around 11:39 pm on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that the accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of McNabb Street and Pim Street. The accused attempted to make a left hand turn from McNabb Street onto Pim Street striking another motor vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction on McNabb Street. The accused left the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle that was struck followed the accused and contacted city police. The accused was stopped on Great Northern Road and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. There were no injuries reported in this accident. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of June.

Motor Vehicle Collision

City Police attended the scene of another motor vehicle collision yesterday just after 1 pm at the intersection of Creery Avenue and Breton Road. A Toyota min-van being operated by a 34 year-old female was westbound on Creery Avenue when it crossed into the northbound lane and stuck a car that was northbound on Breton Road making a right turn onto Creery Avenue. The 23 year-old female driver and a 26 year-old female passenger in the car were transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The 34 year-old driver, Melanie Doidge of 58 Alworth Place was charged with one count of fail to drive in marked lane under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

There was one break and enter reported yesterday.

A residence on Princeton Drive was entered between 8 am an 3:15 pm on the 15th of May. Two DVD’S and an XBOX 360 were stolen.
