Two persons to appear in bail court Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old male on warrants.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old male on warrants. It is alleged that on May 20th a warrant was issued to search the accused person’s basement apartment, at 606 Wellington St. E. At that time officers located a loaded stolen 12 gauge shotgun, 12 and 410 gauge shotgun ammunition, 13 grams of cocaine, 70 Ritalin tablets, 363.5 grams of marihuana and 212 grams of Psilocybin (magic mushrooms). At the time of his arrest Mr. Godson-Roy was prohibited from possessing any firearm and/or ammunition

Jeffrey Godson-Roy, age 26, of no fixed address is charged with the following offences:
Four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of careless storage of a firearm, four counts of possession of weapon/ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $ 13,510.

Male arrested on warrants
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male on warrants. It is alleged that on June 12th, 2008 the accused damaged parking meters on Queen St. E. and stole money from the meters. It is further alleged that on July 22nd, 2008 the accused stole a bicycle and was in possession of marihuana. Further on September 22nd, 2008 the accused breached conditions of his undertaking and failed to appear for court. Joshua Smith, age 28 of 244 Albert St. W., upstairs apartment is charged with one count of breach of an undertaking, one count of failing to appear for court, one count of mischief, two counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Male arrested for theft under $5,000
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 54 -year-old male for theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused male stole $10.26 worth of meat products from Joe’s No Frill Store on Korah Rd. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. Richard Nadon, age 54 of 233 Selby Rd is charged with one count of theft under $5,000. Mr. Nadon is to appear in court on June 27th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for failing to appear for identification
Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old male for failing to appear for prints. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Station on May 5th for fingerprints. Tyler Gasparotto, age 20 of 923 Queen St. E is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification purpose. Mr. Gasparotto is to appear in court on June 27th at 9:00 am.

Mischief
A window at a residence in the 100 block of Estelle St was damaged

Theft
A bicycle was stolen from the 400 block of Douglas St.
A small amount of cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Fourth Ave.
Clothing was reported stolen from the laundry facilities at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Allard St.
