TUESDAY BREAK-IN There was one break and enter reported yesterday. A resident on McFadden Avenue reported that sometime between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm unknown persons entered his garage.

There was one break and enter reported yesterday. A resident on McFadden Avenue reported that sometime between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm unknown persons entered his garage. The culprit made off with several tools such as saws, drills and a chainsaw. Also taken was an Evinrude outboard motor and a small amount of liquor.

TANGLES WITH PREGNANT WOMAN

Patrol officers arrested a 44 year-old woman with regards to an assault from the 24th of April 2004. Julia Gregoire of 4-240 Albert Street West was charged after an incident in which she is alleged to have scratched, kicked and punched a pregnant woman. The victim is known to the accused. Ms. Gregoire will appear in court on June 7th.

YOUNG OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR A WHOLE BUNCH OF THINGS

A young offender will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested and charged yesterday with theft under $5000, resist arrest, assault police, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking. The youth is alleged to have stole 3 DVD’s from a person that they are on conditions to stay away from.

When a patrol officer arrested the accused for the alleged offence the youth attempted to pull away from the officer and then struck the officer with a closed fist. The youth also breached a condition of probation by not keeping the peace and being of good behavior. No injuries were reported in the incident.

COLLISION ON PEOPLES ROAD

A 2 vehicle collision on Peoples Road at 3:30 yesterday afternoon resulted in one of the drivers being charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and over 80mg. The accused, Aimo William Holmsten of 107 Hardwood Street was traveling north on Peoples Road when he struck the rear of a northbound vehicle that was stopped and waiting to make a left turn. Michael Scott, a passenger in the second vehicle received minor injuries in the accident. Both vehicles sustained a moderate amount of damage. Mr. Holmsten is scheduled to appear in court on June 7th.
