The only entry for bail court appearance this morning is a 14 year-old female youth that was arrested on the 14th of October at 10:06 am at her residence and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00 and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that around 9:40 am on the 14th of October the accused, who has not been attending school regularly as a condition of her probation order, returned home around 10 am, became upset with her mother who refused to allow her entry into their residence and smashed a window. The accused was on further conditions of probation not to harass, molest or physically interfere with her mother.

Theft Under $5,000

20 year-old Lindsey Jones of 80 Sweetgrass Street in Garden River was arrested on the 14th of October just after 10 pm at Pino’s on Trunk Road and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that she attended at the Grocery Store and stole some pepperettes. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 17th of November.

City Police Investigating a Robbery from Overnight:

A 25 year-old male victim used his cell phone to call city police at 8:11 pm last night to advised that he was jumped and robbed by two males around 15 – 20 minutes prior while he was walking westbound on Tilley Road. The victim reported that the two males were walking on the opposite side of the street and when he was in the area of Gehrig Drive, the males crossed the street and started walking towards him. One of the males grabbed him, threw him to the ground, kneeled on top of him and demanded his money. The victim handed over his wallet and the suspects took cash from it, threw it on the ground and then fled on foot in an eastbound direction. The victim received non-life threatening injuries. Police attended in the area but could not locate the two males. The suspects are unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing.
Description of the Two Suspects is as follows:
The first male was described as approximately 6 foot, slender build, wearing a black hoodie, very baggy jeans with a logo underneath the rear pocket of the jeans.
The second male was around 5’8”, medium build, a brownish colour goatee, wearing a dark t-shirt and a dark ball cap with writing on it.

Property Crimes: Three Break and Enters were reported:

- A residence on John Street was entered sometime overnight on the 15th of October between 8 pm and 4 am. CD’S, movies and a PS2 were reported stolen.
- A residence in the 200 block of Lake Street was entered on the 14th of October between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Jewellery and some money were reported stolen.
- A residence in the 1300 block of Wellington Street East was entered between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm. Some money was stolen.

Mischief Reports:

- City police were dispatched to the Medicine Shop on Great Northern Road around 1:41 am this morning after the alarm was activated. There was an outer pane of glass smashed, but no entry was gained.
- An apartment window on Northland Road was smashed around 3:54 am this morning.
- East View School on Arizona Avenue was vandalized over the past long weekend.
- A rear side window of a vehicle parked on Denis Street was damaged overnight.
- Two more mailboxes on Fourth Line West and Allen Side Road were reported damaged from overnight on the 13th-14th of October.
