Arrests Resulting from Drug Search Warrant On the 25th of October at 3:40 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Street Team executed a drug search warrant at 416 Farwell Terrace.
Arrests Resulting from Drug Search Warrant

On the 25th of October at 3:40 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Street Team executed a drug search warrant at 416 Farwell Terrace. During the course of the search officers located 650 grams of marijuana, 10 oxycodone pills, a small amount of hash oil, two digital scales, a marihuana grinder and a quantity of cash. Value of the drugs seized is $13,280.00.

As a result, Stephen Humes, age 28, of 416 Farewell Terrace was arrested and charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Eric Humes, age 18, of 416 Farewell Terrace was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. He is to appear in court on the 28th of November.

Single Motor Vehicle Collision results in Impaired Driving Charges

On 25th of October at approximately 10:56 pm officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Huron Street, just south of queen Street West. The vehicle involved had left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. There were three occupants in the vehicle at the time and all were uninjured. Officers spoke with the driver and found him to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested him for impaired driving.

The accused, Daniel Jones, age 32, of 580A HWY 17 Garden River, Ontario was charged with on count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit and to appear in court on the 28th of November.

Male Arrested for Consuming over the Legal Limit

On the 26th of October at approximately 1:40 am officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service observed a white Cadillac fail to stop for red light at McNabb and Great Northern Road. Officers stopped the vehicle on Blake Avenue and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was given the roadside screening device test and registered a fail.

The accused, Christopher Holmes, age 23, of 141 Caledon Street (basement apt.) was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of consuming over the legal limit. He is to appear in court on the 28th of November.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43 year-old Andrew Boyer of 101 Murphy Street on the 25th of October at 1:07 pm on Huron Street on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on the 16th of August in relation to drug charges. The accused is now to appear in court on the 28th of November.

Break and Enter Report

A construction business office on Great Northern Road was broken into at approximately 2:27 am this morning. The alarm was activated. Officers attended and found the office broken into and searched the area with negative results. It is not known at this time what was taken.

Theft Reports

• Vehicles were broken into on Sheppard Street, Queen Street West and Pim Street. Two wallets were reported stolen.

• A 21 speed Schwinn mountain bike was reported stolen on Wilson Street yesterday.
