Woman accused of harassing local police with more than 60 calls

The accused was also charged in March after a police department in Florida received multiple phone calls

A 27-year-old is facing charges after allegedly calling local police dozens of times.

Sault Ste. Marie Police say they received more than 60 calls for non-police related reasons between April 9 and May 1.

“The accused was warned multiple times not to contact police unless it is for police related reasons,” said police in a news release.

Mabel Toman-Harvey has been charged with:

• Harassing Communications
• Mischief

The accused was also charged with harassing communications and mischief in March after a police department in Florida received multiple phone calls.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
