A 44-year-old woman is facing charges after police say she gave officers a false identity when speaking with them the previous day.
On Monday, officers spoke with the accused in the 500 block of Bay Street.
The next day, officers the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's Division 2 Unit and Bicycle Patrol Unit arrested the woman after police learned she had given officers a false identity on Monday, police said.
Officers also learned the individual had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Police found the accused in the 100 block of East Street while working bike patrol and arrested them. Police also say that the accused physically resisted officers.

- Obstruct Peace Officer (x2)
- Failure to Attend Court After Having Appeared
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
