The Role:
Wealth Your Way (WYW) through Aviso Insurance, in partnership with Your Neighbourhood Credit Union, presently has an opening for a Sales Coordinator. Wealth Your Way is about creating the right plan for every client; a comprehensive roadmap combining sound investment strategies, insurance solutions, tax planning and active portfolio management to help them get the most from their money.

This position is responsible for providing administrative and office support services to the Wealth Your Way Financial Planners and other team members where applicable. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining files, processing bill payments, preparing a variety of activity reports, and other related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set appointments, prepare for interviews, handle complaints and concerns, follow up on referrals, provide information on WYW to members and the general public, inputting financial plan information, formatting proposals and processing product applications
• Create and maintain member files
• Process bill payments and prepare a variety of activity reports for credit union management, WYW Financial Planners, and Regional Office(s) as required
• Process all WYW mail and handle all courier and fax support
• Assist in building the relationship with credit union management and staff
• Assist Credit Union management in tracking WYW employee attendance, if required

Nature and Purpose of Contacts and Relationships:

Internal:

• Establishes and maintains effective communication and cooperation with WYW Representatives, Sales Development Managers, Regional Offices, Head Office, and other WYW staff

External:

• Establishes and maintains effective communication and cooperation with credit union members, managers and staff, and suppliers

Qualifications:

• High school graduate supplemented with post-secondary education in an office careers program
• Minimum two years of experience as an assistant in an office environment dealing with internal and external contacts
• Completion of the IFIC course (Investment Funds Institute of Canada), Life Licensing course, or the CSC course (Canadian Securities Course), is a definite asset
• General investment and insurance industry knowledge and awareness of the Canadian Credit Union System are highly desirable
• Demonstrated skills include: excellent telephone and organizational skills, excellent typing and grammar skills combined with strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills
• Experience with working with all major types of office equipment
• Familiar with personal computers and a full range of knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Must be bondable
