2Spirit Awareness Week - March 21st to March 27th
The 2Spirit Organising Committee of Bawating (2SOC) is organising our third annual 2Spirit Awareness Week. This movement began 4 years ago in British Columbia, and has since been recognized annually during the Spring Equinox (March). This year the committee has come with a week's worth of great events that recognizes and celebrates 2Spirit/Indigi-Queer people locally and across Turtle Island.
Events will be geared for both 2S LGBTQ-Indigenous community members, allies and helpers. There will be different opportunities for folks to network and socialise during this week. Allies are able to become more aware and support 2S LGBTQ+ community members and initiatives during this time as well.
