Laureate College is thrilled to announce that one of our talented students, Jiayi Qu, has entered the 2025 Science Without Borders® Challenge, an esteemed international art competition. This annual event invites students in Grades 7 through 12 to create original artworks inspired by influential figures in Canadian art history, encouraging young artists to explore their creativity and express themselves through various artistic media.
The competition fosters artistic innovation while connecting students to the rich heritage of Canadian art. Jiayi’s participation in this distinguished challenge is a testament to her dedication and artistic skill. Winners will be announced in May 2025, with the top artworks showcased at Art Toronto, Canada’s largest contemporary art fair, in October 2025. We extend our warmest congratulations to Jiayi and wish her success in this significant competition.
This achievement reinforces the importance of Laureate College as a true STEAM institution, where the "A" for the arts plays a vital role. As an enhanced program for Gifted Arts boarding and day students, Laureate College is committed to fostering creativity and innovation. Soon, we will be expanding our academic offerings to welcome a new generation of students through our Elementary Programs for Grades K-12.
