We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at the Midland Home Hardware Design Centre.
As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their selections of interior finishes, including vanities, toilets, showers, flooring, plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, and appliances. You will help create a positive and informative shopping experience, ensuring customers have the information they need to make informed decisions for their home improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist customers with product inquiries and guide them in selecting interior finishes such as vanities, toilets, showers, flooring, plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, and appliances.
• Provide detailed product knowledge and recommendations, helping customers choose the best options for their specific needs.
• Ensure that the showroom displays are clean, well-maintained, and organized to provide a pleasant shopping experience.
• Restock and arrange products as necessary to ensure shelves and displays are filled and visually appealing.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including the floor and product displays.
• Keep up-to-date with current sales promotions, new flyers, and any changes in product offerings or pricing.
• Place and manage sales tags for new promotions and sales items.
• Collaborate with the team to meet sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as required to support the team and improve the store's overall operations.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in retail, preferably in a home improvement or design-related environment.
• Strong knowledge or interest in interior finishes, including vanities, toilets, showers, flooring, plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, and appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive, professional, and helpful attitude.
• Ability to lift and move products when required.
