Service Rentals and Sales is a trusted provider of construction supplies, protective equipment, safety training, and Mahindra tractors in Sault Ste. Marie. We serve both commercial and residential clients and offer repair and warranty services for various equipment brands. Since expanding in 2019, we have also been selling and servicing boats, ATVs, equipment trailers, and utility trailers.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Yard Coordinator to manage and maintain our outdoor inventory, ensuring equipment, machinery, and vehicles are organized, accounted for, and ready for use. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain the yard, ensuring equipment and supplies are stored properly.
Load and unload equipment, trailers, and supplies using forklifts and other necessary machinery.
Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment for damage or missing parts.
Assist with inventory tracking, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all yard assets.
Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely maintenance and repairs of equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free yard environment.
Provide support to customers picking up or returning rented equipment.
Assist with deliveries and transportation of equipment as needed.
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role (yard coordination, warehouse management, or logistics) is an asset.
Knowledge of construction equipment, trailers, ATVs, boats, or related machinery is preferred.
Forklift experience and/or certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
