Position Overview:

As a member of senior management and reporting to the Chief Executive or designate, the Director of Service Clinical and Children Services will be assigned a portfolio of responsibilities which will include assisting in the operation of children mental health services, as well as responsibilities for knowledge and information management, specific internal and external liaison, special projects, policy development and reporting functions.

The Director of Service Clinical and Children Services will assist in ensuring that services are provided using culturally relevant and evidence-based practice, and that services are delivered following the vision, mission, and core values of Dilico Anishinabek Family Care.

The Director of Service Clinical and Children Services will work with the Senior Management Team and Managers in children mental health services to ensure that services meet the requirements of legislation and service standards required by all funding bodies and levels of government, including the Ministry of Children community and social services (MCCSS), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ontario Health (OH), District Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB), and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). The Director of Service Clinical and Children Services will develop and maintain effective working relations with managers, staff members and allied community service providers; assist with the development of policies and work plans; and other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designate.


Qualifications and Requirements:

University degree in Social Sciences and Humanities. Candidates with a blend of relevant experience, training and education considered.
This position will require the ability to work flexible hours and travel out of town.
Ability to respond to twenty-four (24) hour on-call service support requests from programs in this portfolio.
Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s G Licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
