The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Culture & Events, the Coordinator, Community Well-Being is responsible to help foster a sense of belonging and understanding where all members of the community feel valued, respected and supported. The position works with staff and the community to develop, plan and implement strategies and activities with a focus on well-being and inclusion adopting a holistic approach to health that builds on community assets and collaboration, and supports the community health and well-being program.

What You Will Do
• Deliver community education and engagement sessions including charettes, information tables and stakeholder feedback.
• Liaise between the municipality and individuals as well as community organizations/groups to deliver health promotion, wellness and community development initiatives.
• Facilitate the sharing of information and ideas between community groups and organizations. Support networking, collaboration and integration of services across organizations.
• Provide corporate thought leadership and facilitate the alignment of goals and work across the Town related to the building community well-being and inclusion service, with scope spanning to include actions in alignment with diversity, equity, inclusion and reconciliation.
• Support the development and delivery of initiatives that showcase the richness of our culture, diversity, heritage and community.
• Build awareness and understanding of barriers experienced in the community.
• Deliver community-based initiatives and events supporting knowledge sharing and awareness building.
• Encourage and enable healthy behaviour choices through policy, programs and supportive environments.
• Work with staff and community partners to identify priorities and support the development of key performance metrics and evaluation tools.
• Prepare annual program-specific operational plans and reports.
• Assist with budget preparation, monitoring and funding applications.
• Undertake literature review to identify evidence-based best practices.

Skills and Experience
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with community organizations/groups and managing relationships with multi-sectoral partners
• Experience managing projects. Experience in program evaluation, communications and social marketing experience would be an asset.
• Demonstrated administrative, interpersonal, organizational, communications, time management, public relations and presentation skills, together with the ability to use tact and discretion and to deal courteously and effectively with the public and fellow staff members.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and standard office equipment.

Qualifications
• Diploma in a health promotion related discipline or equivalent education.
• Valid Calss “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business. Ability and willingness to travel within the community as required.
• Possess a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (Level 2) with results satisfactory to the employer, and a valid standard first aid & CPR/AED Level C certification (or willing to obtain).

Other Important Information
Normal hours of work are thirty-five (35) hours per week. The pay range is $72,072.00 to $87,578.40 ($39.60 to $48.12 per hour).
