Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team on a temporary full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating engaging programs for children and youth, while ensuring a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
Applicants must be available to work from July 7 to August 22, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality programs that align with BGC North Simcoe’s mission and strategic priorities
Supervise program staff, volunteers, and participants
Communicate in a professional manner with parents/guardians
Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and participant engagement
Ensure programs meet safety, accessibility, and inclusion standards
Assist with outreach and community engagement
Support reporting and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work, Recreation, Social Services, or a related field
Experience planning and facilitating youth programs
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required
Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
HIGH FIVE® Certification is considered an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
Working Conditions:
This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity
Physical activity and extended periods of standing/walking are required
Health and Safety
Required to work in compliance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act and all BGC North Simcoe’s policies and procedures.
