The Career, Education, and Community Resource Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph. Over 600 students from grades 8-12, along with their parents and teachers from the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) and Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) , will attend this event to gather valuable insights and information that will help guide their decisions regarding future education, career training, and career paths.
This event is presented by the Career Education Council, a registered charity organization that focuses on providing youth with opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development. The fair is organized annually with the support of a volunteer committee composed of representatives from local schools and businesses who are dedicated to making a positive impact on youth and shaping the future workforce.
At the fair, students will have the chance to engage with employers, educators, and community representatives at more than 50 displays. These will showcase a wide range of opportunities, including local employers, high school programs, apprenticeship opportunities, education, training, co-op, volunteering, and various career options.
The event is open to the public from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. For more information, contact Sadia Batool, Event Specialist, at sadiab@careereducationcouncil.ca or call 438-364-7761.
