Stamkos

Hi, my name is Stamkos but my friends at the shelter call me Stampy!

This past Sunday marks 1 whole year I’ve been patiently waiting to find my forever home! They say I’m a medium sized spaniel lab mix who just turned 7 years old.

Everyone who meets me says I’m a very sweet boy. I love going for walks, playing fetch, eating canned cat food with my pill (what dog doesn’t love canned cat food) and hanging out in the back yard with staff! I love to lay on my dog bed during the day with my collection of toys and tennis balls! I know basic obedience and well-mannered but can become a little anxious at times.

I love being brushed and a bath are ok as long as I get lots of belly rubs afterwards!

I would prefer to find somewhere where I can be the center of attention as I’m not the most social guy. I’m fine walking past cats and dogs but do have a large personal bubble and children make me very nervous.

I’m really hoping to find a quiet home with someone who will let me curl up on a couch and maybe share snacks while watching tv or take me out on adventures in low populated areas, camping sounds fun too!

Stamkos can be a little standoffish with new people therefore we would encourage the potential adoptee to come to the shelter a few times to get to know him prior to adoption.
