Nothing is better then stopping at a summer market in Algoma to grab a bite to eat or pick up some produce for a delicious dinner. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and baking are in abundance from the local farmers, bakers and butchers. Talented artisans sell their wares at the markets where you can purchase a unique gift for that special someone. Most of the markets have live entertainment for your enjoyment.

Mill Market

Mill Market is a year-round market.  It is located at 35 Canal Dr., Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and is situated along the Hub Trail and the Sault Locks.  Featured at the market are healthy home grown produce and products, artisan crafts, and local entertainment. Mill Market is also an educational hub where you can visit Entomica learn about the bug world in its insectarium!

Algoma Farmers’ Market

The Algoma Farmers’ Market has a summer location is at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion, 70 Foster Drive, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and is open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m from June to Thanksgiving and Wednesdays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. starting in July.  The market offers 100% Algoma products from Farm Vendors, Prepared Food Vendors, Artisan and Craft Vendors, and hosts Community, Charitable and Non-Profit groups and Musicians.  During the off-season months, Algoma Farmers’ Market is located in the Wellington Square Mall in Sault Ste. Marie.  This market has been in business since 1901!
