NEWS RELEASE
MAKER NORTH
******************************
The recent months of challenges that we and the rest of the world have experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic have re-shaped our lives in so many ways. There continues to be uncertainty regarding the future and there are so many "new normal" considerations in all aspects of our lives. In the past months, Maker North has been proud to be able to respond to the current demands of the pandemic by supporting local essential workers through design and manufacturing efforts of personal protective equipment, and we will continue to do so.

Like so many other businesses, the pandemic continues to shutter access to Maker North, especially for those who enjoy the creative "maker space" opportunities. Maker North has made the difficult decision to permanently close the maker space aspect of the business and focus resources on providing design and manufacturing services to clients.

Members who have outstanding time remaining on paid memberships will be contacted directly for applicable refunds. We at Maker North are very grateful for the interest and support that our customers and members have provided from the time we opened our doors. We have loved watching the creative genius of so many individuals come to life in our space! We will be continuing to offer focused classes once able, regarding 3D design and printing, and we will continue to work with partners in education and social services to offer training.

While we are moving away from the concept of a "maker space", Maker North Inc. will continue to provide clients with services that will support those who seek design and prototyping services to bring their own products to market as well as businesses and individuals who wish to purchase and available product that we can 3D print or laser cut. Our services include:
    •    3D prototype design and printing
    •    re-creation of items with use of 3D printers
    •    laser cutting design
    •    access to injection molding services
    •    graphic design services

Have an idea or a need that you think we can help with? Please don't hestiate to reach out to our team for a consultation.
