SooToday meteorologist Jerry Shields says today will be cloudy with a few flurries in the morning. Colder air will slide into the region and will cause temperatures to fall through the day. Temperatures will start near the freezing mark in the morning and fall to near -3°C in the late afternoon for the official start of winter at 5:23 p.m.
The daytime high is forecasted to reach -2 C, with the temperature falling to -4 C in the afternoon. The wind chill will drop the temperature down to -7 C in the morning, then to -13 C in the afternoon. The UV index will remain at 1 or low throughout the day.
Tonight, skies will gradually clear with the overnight low dipping to -9 C.
