SooToday meteorologist Jerry Shields says we will see a few lake effect snow showers through the day today and those will be accompanied by mostly cloudy skies. A few sunny breaks will be possible in the afternoon as lake effect snow pushes north of the city.
Periods of light snow arrive this evening and snowfall accumulations of 3-6 cm are expected by Wednesday morning with locally higher amounts north of the city.
Temperatures are near -11C in the morning reach a high of -9C in the afternoon but a gusty westerly wind will make it feel closer to -17C.
