SooToday received the following letter from a reader who takes issue with Conservative candidate Hugh Stevenson not attending election debates.
I must say I’m extremely disappointed in the local Conservative candidate to not attend candidates debates, and speak to all media outlets, not sure that’s a great strategy and have to agree with the recent story on SooToday.
This was your chance to set the record straight if indeed you have strong feelings about the local media being bias, guess we’ll never know.
It’s hard to believe you couldn’t find time to attend the one at the Royal Canadian Legion given the significance of the Legion and what it represents. Many of its members have fought for this country and defended it.
I'm sure many in the audience are disappointed by your actions not to attend and so am I and many voters I have spoken too.
