The results are in! The 2012 Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards nominees are unveiled!

SUDBURY - On the evening of April 28, Music and Film in Motion (MFM) will celebrate the 9th annual Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards by presenting 10 Northern artists with awards for excellence in music and film.

In addition to the Awards Ceremony, MFM will be hosting a conference component again this year from April 26 to the 28.

This year, submissions came in from communities across the North including; Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Espanola, Naughton, Atikoken and Elliot Lake.

For each category, the nominees were selected by a panel of prominent music and film industry professionals.

The winner for each category will be announced at the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards ceremony to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in the Great Hall at Laurentian University.

MFM is proud to announce Vale as this year’s lead sponsor of the 2012 Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards Conference. 

Returning this year is Newcap Sudbury (Rewind 103.9 and Hot 93.5) as our Conference and Showcase sponsor and East Link has signed on as our Awards Ceremony sponsor. 

Music and Film in Motion is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to foster and promote the development of the music and film industries in Northern Ontario.
