Artist Armstrong Lands in the Mall

Jack Armstrong arrived in Canada in 1960 from Belfast, Ireland. He started painting at the age of 18, left it alone for about 15 years, and eventually came around to it again and hasn't stopped for the past 15 years.

Armstrong will be featured in the Arts Council of SSM and District's Station Mall Art Space from October 11th to 17th.

Armstrong is a self-taught artist in oil, but also often likes to paint in acrylics. As a landscape painter, he has painted scenes from Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, and Northern Ontario. One of his favourite areas to paint is the farming area around Owen Sound, Ontario.
