The Algoma Repertory Theatre presents The 39 Steps, a thriller based on the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock thriller that is mixed with the comedic elements of Monty Python for the stage and are sure to leave audiences laughing.

Timothy Murphy, Marc Beaudette, Courtney McDonald and AJ Brisson are the four actors who will take on the daunting task of portraying more than 150 characters.

Performances will run May 28-31st at Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre at 229 Great Northern Rd., Sault Ste. Marie.

SAULT STE. MARIE – Algoma Repertory Theatre presents The 39 Steps and it is no mystery why this gleefully whimsical spy parody remains an audience favourite - mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python.

Timothy Murphy, Marc Beaudette and AJ Brisson will return to the stage together as three of the four actors who will tackle over 150 characters in this production. These three funny guys last split sides during ART’s Fall 2023 production of “THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED)[Revised] [Again]”. Courtney McDonald joins this trio, and they are ready to leave you crying with laughter.

The 39 Steps is based on the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock thriller of the same name. A man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called The 39 Steps is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt.

Performances will run May 28-31st at Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre at 229 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste. Marie.

Tickets available for Dinner and Show or show only. Dinner is Family style with Fresh Bread, Mixed Greens, Penne in Red Sauce, Roasted Chicken, Mashed Potato, Grilled Vegetables with Strawberry Shortcake, coffee and tea. Dinner and show Tickets are $80 per person and the show only for $40 per person.

Doors open for dinner at 5:45 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
