Winners of the 2007 Genie Awards are announced by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television
Carrie-Anne Moss (shown) won a Genie for her supporting role in Snow Cake which was shot in Wawa in early 2005 and Toronto
(Toronto) February 13, 2007 — The Canadian film industry celebrated its best year to date tonight at the 2007 Genie Awards.
The much anticipated event was held at The Carlu in Toronto from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The presentations were followed by Live! At The Genies.
The one-hour broadcast on CHUM Television and MusiMax showcased the night’s memorable moments in a live, schmooze-style atmosphere.
