Cast set for fall production of 'The Little Mermaid'

The Musical Comedy Guild of Sault Ste. Marie is planning to make a splash this fall.

The Comedy Guild is presenting Disney's The Little Mermaid, set to run from Nov. 20-23 at the Sault Community Theatre.

The cast is also set for the performance and includes the role of Ariel being played by newcomer Ada Crowder.

Nathaniel Dewar will play seafaring Prince Eric.

Other cast members include Dave Yule as stern King Triton, Ashton Sommers as frazzled crab Sebastian, Kara Rosset as fish bestie Flounder, and Amelia Stuetz as that tap-dancing expert on all things human, Scuttle the seagull.

Terrifying sea witch Ursula will be portrayed by Emily Youngson – while Bernie Stuetz, Evan Williams, Phin Tripp, and Joel D'Souza round out the roster of leads as Grimsby, Chef Louis, and Ursula's duo of eel henchmen Flotsam and Jetsam.

An array of dancing mersisters, sailors, chefs, princesses, maids, seagulls, and a vast array of undersea creatures will be brought to life by Pedro Barros, Andrew Brienesse, Elora Byman, Natalie Cook, Wanda Coutu, Hannah Fisher, Evelyn Franic, Jadyn Frech, Isabelle Gagnon, Mélyse Gagnon, Arja-Liisa Gallo, Josh Glimo, Tristin Haines, Candela Harmsen, Abi Higham, Katriina Hopper, Jade Jack, Riley Korschin, Elaine Lai, Monique Lucenay, Chris Moore, Bella Nardi, Maisie Nelson, Lily Parniak, Alexis Pawelek, Téah Pelletier, Kyla Robinson, Zephyr Rouleau, Chris Schneider, Matt Secondi, Jocelyn St. Amour, Kait Tappenden, Kelsey Wade, and Shannon Young.

The show is being directed by Timothy Murphy with choreography by Lizz McIntosh and Amelia Stuetz.

Michael Dal Cin and Leith Harris will produce the show while the stage management team is led by Candace Withers and includes Betty Currie, Tanya Running, and Kayleigh Agonis.
