Celtic Mythology and the Sexy Voice: Heather Dale at Loplops

Loplops Lounge doesn't open on a Monday night for just anyone. Then again, Heather Dale is certainly not just anyone. At least not for long.

Dale is a modern Celtic singer-songwriter who will be performing at Loplops on Monday, November 15th at 8:00 pm as part of her first Western Canadian Tour.

Hot on the heels of showcase performances at the Owen Sound Celtic Festival, Dehwelans Festival (UK) and the Mariposa Festival, Dale is experiencing the beginnings of the success that she so richly deserves. She has been compared to Loreena McKennitt, Sarah McLachlan and October Project, yet has a twist all of her own. Her lyrical content draws heavily on the King Arthur legends.

She was even invited to perform songs from "May Queen", her fourth and most recent release, at Casa Loma in Toronto. The performance coincided with the release of Touchstone Picture's movie "King Arthur" and Dale's street teams were handing out promotional material dressed in medieval clothing.

Musically speaking, Dale's music ranges from Celtic folk to bluesy rock. At this show, Dale is being joined by Ben Deschamps, a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, violin, percussion, acoustic & electric guitars, tin whistles and keyboards.
