Corb promises to come back sooner (18 photos)

It's been five years since he's played Sault Ste. Marie

Multi award-winning Canadian country artist Corb Lund and his Hurtin’ Albertans played to more than 400 at the Machine Shop Friday night.

A number of fans came from outside the community to take in the show, including a few from Michigan and a group of lads from Columbus, Ohio.

The tall drink of water included a wide selection of tracks from his eight studio releases in the set list, such as Roughest Neck Around, Dig Gravedigger Dig, Shine Up My Boots, Bible on the Dash, Horse Soldier Horse Soldier, Getting Down on the Mountain, Truck Got Stuck, Time to Switch to Whisky, Five Dollar Bill, Run This Town, and of course Hurtin’ Albertan.

It’s been just over five years since Lund last performed in Sault Ste. Marie.

He told Friday’s crowd he wouldn't wait quite so long to return.

We’re gonna hold you to that, Mr. Lund.

Winning over a large crowd of fresh fans was Sudbury’s Murder Murder who performed an opening set.

Murder Murder are set to perform at Loplops Saturday evening, if you missed Friday’s show.
